• The eHRMS code, date of birth and PAN must all exactly match the office records.
• In the PAN, watch out for O (letter) vs 0 (zero). The fifth character of your PAN is the first letter of your surname.
• Enter the date of birth exactly as recorded in your service book / Manav Sampada.
• If the problem persists, contact the office — your details may need to be updated on the portal.

The Form 16 for that financial year has not been uploaded by the office yet. Check again after a few days or ask the office.

• The OTP arrives as a phone call. Keep your phone nearby and answer it.
• If the call was missed or busy, check your network and call blocking, wait at least 45 seconds, then press "Resend OTP" once. Use the newest code; repeated requests may use up your limit.
• The automated call only reads out your code. Never tell anyone your OTP, PAN or password.
• If your mobile number has changed, get the new number registered at the office.

The password of a Form 16 PDF issued from TRACES is usually PAN (in lower case) + date of birth (DDMMYYYY), e.g. abcde1234f15081985. Keep a PDF reader app installed on your phone.

Yes. Your Form 16 opens only when your eHRMS code, date of birth and PAN and mobile OTP match correctly. A record of every download is kept securely by the office. The office never asks for your OTP or PAN by phone or SMS — enter them only on this official website.
