About the Office

The Office of the Finance & Accounts Officer (Basic Education) handles salary, allowances, arrears, General Provident Fund (GPF), National Pension System (NPS), pension, income tax (TDS/Form 16) and departmental budget and accounts matters for teachers and employees of the Basic Education Department in the district.

The office functions under the directions of the Directorate of Education (Basic) and the Finance Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in coordination with the office of the District Basic Education Officer.

Key functions

• Scrutiny and payment of salary bills of teachers/employees
• GPF/NPS accounts, advances and final payments
• Disposal of pension cases
• Income tax deduction, TDS returns and issue of Form 16
• Budget allocation, expenditure control and settlement of audit objections
